Gamble Rogers is a small park tucked gently between the shores of the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway.

This 145-acre park located on barrier island is named for Florida folk singer and storyteller Gamble Rogers.

Swim and play in the surf of the Atlantic Ocean, build castles in the golden-brown coquina sand or watch pelicans glide along the dunes and ocean waves.

Anglers can catch red drum, whiting, flounder and trout from the banks of the river or along the beach, with toes in the sand.

Take a walk and explore the plant and animal life in the shady maritime hammock, or enjoy a picnic with watermelon and ice cream at one of the park’s many sheltered tables.

The Best Camping Near Flagler Beach, Florida

Very clean and well kept. Not many amenities, but the beach is right across the street. 

Cozy

Pet-friendly, two campground areas - one beachside and one riverside. 

Love this area. Beautiful, quiet beach town. 

The park rangers/campground check-in were super friendly. 

Bathroom was spectacularly clean.

Got lucky with a riverside spot last minute! 

Stopped for a night here on the drive down the coast. Lots of turtle nest sites blocked off and an empty beach. RVs are wall to wall with tent sites so bring your earplugs if you're a tent camper or you'll be hearing generators all night.

It was a good time camping and enjoying the sites to see. At night if sleeping in a tent make sure your tent doesn't let in the no see ems. It made for a long night.

Be ready

This was a second trip and stay. The first time I was on beach side, this time on river side.  Both of these spot were awesome. Very easy to check in, courteous rangers, and the occupants are all very friendly. One of the most safest place I had been. 

To schedule time here is tough. You have to keep looking and attempting. If you are ever in the Flagler Beach area I highly recommend checking this place out. 

Awesome place in Florida

There’s camping on both the beach side and also the river side.  Sites are nice, wide and level, but offer little shade. The park offers lots of fishing, wildlife viewing, and bicycling opportunities. 

Nice Florida State Park

Great spot, plenty of shade on the riverside in the tent spots. Beautiful scenery. 
A nice nature trail that leads to the beach, which is a short walk on level ground. 
Visited here in mid December and the temperature was perfect. Will definitely be back. 


Gamble Roger’s 

We had a great first experience camping in our 1975 airstream at this location. Our particular campsite was a pull through and had electric and water that was easy to hook up 5 feet away from the camper. The people were extremely friendly including the hosts and there were several long-term campers with big RVs. A fire pit and grill were easy to use at the site. The only downside was our campsite didn’t have any trees for our son to explore, but it made it easy to see the sunset and stars at night

Easy simple Campground

Stayed at both the beach side and river side. Both are excellent.  Beach side is right on the beach with several access points. Dogs can go on the public beach which is attached, but not the state park beach. Went in late January. Beach was mostly empty. Camp grounds were booked solid. Everything is clean including bathrooms. Electricity at every spot. Definitely would come again, but it is booked solid.

Beautiful location! Very spacious sites you have a body of water on either side. The beach is just a short walk away and you also have a boat launch for the river side inside of camp. Nice little trails accessible with a butterfly garden. Very nice sites and clean facilities. I will be recommending this site to family and friends!!

Super nice spot!!

Lovely park with beach side &amp; inter coastal side. We stayed InterCoastal side. Outside loop has more privacy than inside the loop

In 50,000 miles on the road, I have never seen a cleaner shower room facility.   I even used their shower facilities ( we’re so picky that we don’t normally use facilities) 

We bought annual state pass and apart from that, we paid $39.50 per day for 2 weeks

Note. Dogs not allowed on beach in state park, but a few hundred feet south is a city beach you can use

Hard to reserve - so have to plan a little.

Cleanest park I have stayed in

Very nice park. Very clean. Everyone is nice. Short walk to the ocean side. Dogs have a specific beach which is a bit longer (but still very walkable.) Would stay again

Camping at Gambler!

This side of the park has recently been upgraded. The sites are nice and level, lots of space in between.
