The Best Camping Near Montville, Connecticut

Many pull-thru sites, maybe 20 back ins on a pond.

Nice staff, nice pool &amp; facilities. Also, this is open year round.

Great open sites, easy to maneuver, very near casinos and Mystic

Well organized campground with both water front back in sites as well as large pull throughs. Pull through sites also have lots of space between them so you don't feel like you are on top of the neighbors. Sites and roads are a pea gravel material and each site has large grassy areas around it. It was a quiet area with ponds and creeks and a generally relaxing setting. 
It has a clean playground and well maintained pool as well as some walking paths, large grassy areas, pavilion and volleyball court. All sites but one (#67) are full hook up. Some seasonal sites but all were tasteful and not trashy looking. 
We enjoyed the shade trees on our site (#3) and noticed many sites had similar trees, but the owner keeps them trimmed to not interfere when parking on your site. There is also a creek area for dog swimming. Our two labs loved it! 
Local kayaking areas and about 30 min to Foxwoods Casino, even closer to Mohegan Sun. Mystic Seaport and Mystic Aquarium are also not too far. Nearby (5min drive) is also a fun looking place for mini golf. Will definitely be back!

First time taking out our new Travel Trailer.  Staff were friendly/helpful, campsite clean and campers nice.

Maiden Voyage

Clean, family friendly campground. Pet friendly with plenty of area to walk. Close to I-95 and 15 minutes from the beach.  fishing areas for the kids.  Spots are well organized and no issues with hookups. Propane is available at the store.

Aces high is a great place to camp. The sites are large and it's very clean and a beautiful park. Daniella treats  us like part of her family  and the staff are always so helpful. 

Great Place

We stayed at **Aces High RV Park** for a long holiday weekend to visit with our daughter in Connecticut. We paid$150/night for a‘Premium Waterfront FHU Site’ on the lake. A bit pricey, but really nice site including level concrete pad and patio, clean and well-maintained utilities, and beautiful view. 

  

**THINGS I LIKED:** 

*   Clean, well-maintained, and level site with concrete pad and patio(I love a clean, level concrete pad!).

*   Utility hookups were in great condition and everything worked as it should (other parks should come and take a look at how to do this right).

*   Beautiful pond and natural setting with lots of ducks, geese, chickens, and wild birds. 

*   20-minutes drive to Mystic and all the touristy stuff to see and do.

*   The whole park is quiet and nicely-maintained. You might say that it should be for$150 per night, but we all know that not all parks are- even at higher prices. 

  

**THINGS I DIDN’T LIKE SO MUCH:** 

*   This is silly, but I wanted something to improve. The store didn’t stock a selection of stickers so we weren’t able to add to our collection. By the way, doesn’t this really mean it’s a great park if that’s my only criticism? 

**WOULD WE COME BACK?** 

*   Absolutely, this is a nice place with Mystic nearby.
