Gunnison National Forest surrounds Taylor Reservoir, a drive-in dispersed camping area in the mountains above Pitkin, Colorado. Campfires are permitted, and no hookups or formal sites exist. The area gives access to fishing on the reservoir, plus hiking, biking, equestrian, and OHV trails. Nearby, Rivers End sits less than a mile west. No RVs are accommodated. This setup works best for tent campers comfortable with minimal infrastructure.
