Up the Slate River Road northwest of Musicians Campground, this dispersed area holds just three sites with fire rings and enough room to park larger vehicles. The road runs rough in spots, though one camper with a small sedan made it through without issue. No water or facilities are on-site, but the bathrooms at Musicians Camp are a short walk away. Sites fill up on Sunday evenings, so arriving earlier in the day gives better odds. RVs up to 30 feet can fit. Campers wanting more amenities can look into camping near Crested Butte for additional developed options in the area.
