Description
High-desert bench country east of De Beque, where open mesa terrain around Pyramid Rock delivers wide views and genuine quiet. The main road (BLM 281) is graded and accessible to RVs and vans in dry conditions, but the native-soil pull-offs turn slick fast after rain — high-clearance and patience are advisable if storms roll through. Access is seasonal; winter conditions can make the road impassable, and the soils here are sensitive, so staying on established pull-offs is important.
