Description
On the approach corridor to Trona Pinnacles in California's Mojave Desert, this BLM pullout sits just off Pinnacle Road (RM 143) with open sightlines to the tufa spires without the concentrated traffic of the main staging area. The washboard road surface is passable for low-clearance vehicles in dry conditions, though rain turns it to deep mud that has stranded multiple rigs — high-clearance or 4WD is strongly advised after any precipitation. Rattlesnake warnings are posted; sticking to gravel is advisable.
