Description
Flat sandy desert terrain on BLM land just west of Death Valley National Park, this open stretch along the Nadeau Trail corridor sits at the foot of the Panamint Range with wide mountain views in nearly every direction. Multiple dispersed spots spread across the area — including a large group-capable clearing with a fire ring — making it a natural staging point before crossing into the park via CA 190. Sandy soils can turn soft enough to catch two-wheel-drive vehicles off guard, so drivers without four-wheel drive should probe before committing.
