Description
Open Lassen National Forest terrain at roughly 6,100 feet, this clearing off a forest track puts you within ten minutes of the southwest entrance to Lassen Volcanic National Park — a useful base for an early push to Lassen Peak or a day through the park. The access road is flat and wide, though the site rewards vehicles with at least modest ground clearance; smaller trailers up to the mid-20-foot range have parked here comfortably. Traffic is minimal even on summer weekends, and an established fire ring is already in place.
