Hiking and biking trails give this dispersed site its primary draw, set among tall ponderosa pines just off paved Highway 36, roughly 2.7 miles west of campsites near Susanville. The turnout is small, so space is limited. Lassen Volcanic National Park's Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center sits 44 miles away, making this a reasonable staging point for day trips into the park.
