Up on the foothills, this expansive campground is in a nice, peaceful setting. Exposed to the elements, it was quite windy with no shade the 2 days we stayed there, except for the nice little shelters on each site. Most of the sites are by reservation only but one loop is first-come. Wonderful hike up McGee Creek just 2 miles up the road.
