Aspen Hollow Campground is located in Sequoia National Forest, surrounded by forested terrain. The area experiences temperature highs around 85°F in summer and lows near 30°F in winter. Nearby attractions include Hume Lake and the Giant Forest, home to the famous General Sherman Tree.

## Overview

 Aspen Hollow Group sits at an elevation of 5,300 feet within the Giant Sequoia National Monument, adjacent to Kings Canyon National Park. The campground sits just one mile from Hume Lake, an 87-acre man-made lake in the Kings River Watershed. 
## Recreation

 In addition to hiking the sequoia groves, visitors enjoy swimming, trout fishing and boating at nearby Lake Hume. The trails in the Monument are open to hikers, horses and bikes, however bikes are not permitted in wilderness areas. 
## Natural Features

 The Sequoia National Forest, located at the southern end of the Sierra Nevada in central California, takes its name from the giant sequoia, the world's largest tree, which grows in more than 30 groves on the Forest's lower slopes. The Forest comprises about 1.1 million acres, and elevations range from about 1,000 to 12,000 feet, creating precipitous canyons and mountain streams with spectacular waterfalls such as Salmon Creek Falls near Fairview and Grizzly Falls on the Kings River.

The Best Camping Near Hume, California

It was a great place for meeting up with dozens of friends from all over California. Great environment. But keep in mind - on top of the fee for staying at the site, you need to pay $30 for entering Kings Canyon National park, drinking water on site is a question - bring your own, no shower on site (just the cold stream river 10 min walk), no camp fires permitted at national monument in summer (although they say in a state park near by camp fire is permitted). Overall it was a good stay
