I stayed here one night the camp ground is nice enough. It has some shade which was nice because it was over 100 degrees. However at night it was the most beautiful stars I have every seen.

Hike for life

Lees Ferry was a nice stop on the way from Utah heading to Grand Canyon National Park. Nothing too crazy to rave about, except for the view! Campsite was $18 for a primitive tent site for the night but there are no reservations so it's essentially first come basis. It looked like there were maybe 50 sites in total. If you get there early enough can you get a nice view of the river below. Although there were no amenities besides bathrooms, it was a good option for a one night stopover for us. Got pretty windy in the evening so make sure you have tent stakes or at least heavy bags to keep it down. This campsite is very close between Horseshoe bend and Marble Canyon (both a must see if heading through). 

Basic camping

We spent seven days at the National Park camp ground. With our Golden Access card we paid $10 a night. We used our Generator and Solar for there are no hook ups. Boondocking is our chosen way of camping and this campground offered everything we require. The Rangers were friendly even when they confronted me for using a metal detector when I was trying to assist our neighbor locate a lost key. I was told that under no circumstances can a metal detector be used which I understand and quickly complied. We found the missing key and all was well. We will differently stay at this campground again. Maybe as soon as this fall.

A great get away!

We arrived in the middle of the night after failing to find available campsites elsewhere after a long day at Zion National Park. It was still in the 80's. What ensued was a hot, buggy night. The nice thing is, there are sun/wind shelters - I believe at every site. You couldn't deny the beauty of the area, and we walked down to the Colorado River (about a 10 minute walk/hike) to rinse off. Be careful if you do this - we anchored ourselves together and took wide stances - the current is fast and strong here. The water was COLD to the point of being breathtaking in stark contrast to the miserably hot day. The bathroom was fine; running water and flush toilets. Overall nothing to scream about, and I would choose to camp on the shore of Lake Powell - a short drive away - any day (cooler; swimmable water nearby; overall more pleasant)

Hot, hot, hot! But beautiful views of Marble Canyon and the Colorado River

Thisis a no reservations campground there were plenty of sites on a Sunday afternoon. Cost is $20….only $10 with NPS senior pass.

No showers and no hookups but there are clean bathrooms and potable water. The picnic tables have a cabana for protection from wind and dust/sand. We had a site overlooking the Colorado River. The campground is a loop so not all sites overlook the river.

There are areas for hiking nearby. Lee's Ferry historic area and Lonely Dell Ranch are easy walks. The Spencer Trail is a good hike up a mountain. And then there is Cathedral Wash. One hike takes you toward the Vermilion Cliffs and the other to the Colorado River. The one to the river is more challenging; you really have to pay attention to the cairns because you're in the wash as well as climbing above it. On the way back, there was a one moment of….did we really come down in this spot and how will we get back up!

Not much food nearby. Marble Canyon restaurant was pretty good.

A nice small but beautiful campground 

Fantastic campground if you’re on your way to Grand Canyon, Antelope, or Southern Utah. 

This campground sits on a hill overlooking the majestic Colorado River. Lee’s Ferry is the primary take-off Point for rafting the mighty Colorado. 

This is a typical fee campground, yet can be quite popular so Rangers frequent the area often. Camp grounds and decently spaced, and come with grill, picnic table, and a little Ramada. BEWARE, Ramada and camp ground area offer MINIMAL shade, so bring an extra tarp or shade set up. 

About a quarter mile hike from the camp ground is a beautiful beach area, with sand and all. It is the Colorado, so know the water temp stays low and cold even when it’s 115 degrees out!  Swimming is an absolute, but other caution is force of the water, so watch the little ones!  

There are also endless hikes in the surrounding slot canyons. Lee’s Ferry is very dog and kid friendly, but keep your pup on leash as those Park Rangers are always out (yes I felt need for second warning)

I have always encountered extra friendly campers here, and there are pit toilets.

One of my all time favorites 

I generally try to avoid paid campgrounds but there are few options, even in the off-season, in this area, and we were driving late into the day, so it was a relief to get to this campground, and even more pleasant to wake up here the next morning. The area is beautiful, the campground is pleasant and you have all the luxuries a paid campground should offer--water, picnic tables, toilets, fire pits, etc. About 45 minutes from Page, and if you are headed for the North Rim of the Grand Canyon this would be a good stop (though not in the winter, as the North Rim is closed dec to mid-may.

A little pricey but well worth it--beautiful, quite place with basics

This is a very quiet, small campground, well maintained. We pulled in at 3 pm and had a good choice of sites, but by sunset it was almost full. Short walk down to the river! Most sites have a picnic table and awning; all sites have a fire pit / BBQ. Gorgeous dark skies and stunning sunsets.

The campsites were close together but the amazing views and the closeness to the water made up for it. We stayed here a night before rafting and fishing on the river, and it was a great choice because we drove just a couple of minutes from the site right to the docks to start fishing and rafting!

Good spot 👍🏽

During a quick get away to Glen Canyon for a couple days to do some hiking, this was a campground we stumbled across. I made a note to come back to it since I really liked the setting. Being near the water is not too prevalent in the area, so getting to camp so near water would be a treat! This campground is very close to Lake Powell, so if you cannot get a houseboat to stay on this is your next best option :) 

  

The sites lack privacy, but seem to have an adequate amount of space. Not a huge campground- definitely less than 100 sites, possibly even less than 50. Many RV's, camper vans, and trailers.  Ground would be pretty level for setting up a tent, but I'd recommend sleeping pads because it looks hard. 

  

This is such a unique are and there are tons of things to do. Horseshoe Bend is even cooler than in photos! The Rainbow Bridge is a really good hike. If you have the ability or desire to rent a water craft and see the area from the water I highly recommend it.  Though I did not go on a boat tour, there are a few in the area that seemed quite popular. It is interesting looking from the water to see the shoreline-worth at least a couple hours.  Nearby is Coyote Gulch that was a fantastic hike with waterfalls!   

  

Definitely an area you can visit more than once since there is so much to do!

Located on a bluff above the Colorado River and surrounded by canyon cliffs. Great beach across the street for fishing, swimming or kayaking. About two miles beyond, is a put in place for white water rafting. Several good hiking choices. Sites have sun shades, tables and fire rings. Water, trash, bathrooms (no shower) and dump station available. Boat Tail Grackles were very friendly.

Beautiful campground in a spectacular setting. I camped for two nights and enjoyed hiking Paria Canyon and the trail on the Colorado River. 

Love this place!

There's 54 primitive sites. They did have some sites open on a Friday afternoon, Oct 2. We didn't know it was open until we drove past. There's a bathroom. Not sure if pit toilet or flush. No showers. No electricity. It seemed like you're on your own. Maybe the NPS drives through once in a while. Hopefully, your neighbors aren't jerks! The view is FABULOUS! We visited Lees Ferry Campground, no overnight stay

Primitive camping, but....oh the view!

Very nice campground! Perfect start before a river trip. I suggest getting there early because spots fill up quickly. There are two campsites that are overlooking the river which would be ideal.

The ride to this area is one of the most amazing....Vermillion Cliffs lives up to its name, indeed.  I arrived and found the camp fairly packed. but did grab a 'pull-thru' slot down below, right by restrooms.  Strong winds made making camp fun, but it was calm in the morning.  A dip in the Colorado was chilly at a reported 47 degrees, but SO refreshing.  One park ranger did not approve of my clothing line strung between two trees. (I use a strap so there is NO friction, oh well)  The restrooms were full-flush, and setup with red lights to protect one's night vision.  Morning coffee was filled with great conversation.

Breath-Taking Beauty & a chilly swim....

I arrived on a Saturday at about 1230pm and there were only about five or six spots open. All kinds of set ups, big rigs, smaller rigs, tents and pop-ups. It’s a beautiful place￼. A couple of the spots overlook the Colorado river otherwise, you can just walk over there and dip your feet in or go fishing!￼￼

If I had to describe Arizona camping then this would be the perfect campground description. Such a beautiful area with a pristine CG to boot.

More red than green, awesome views of the Colorado as well as easy access which I benefited from due to the float trip we came for, and wonderful people camping here in numerous different setups. Everything from vans to RVs to toy haulers and cars with tents. 

Clean restrooms and some of the best in the entire state IMO, as well as water and for the big rigs there’s a dump station but my site didn’t have any other RV amenities so I’m pretty sure that’s it

Couple great hikes nearby that give even better views of the area and if you can handle the heat I’d recommend them

Fishing is per the usual in the Colorado and it wasn’t too great for my trip but probably more my fault

Marble Canyon is nearby if you need anything but it’s extremely quiet right now

It stayed pretty busy over my 2 day stay. When I pulled in on a Thursday I was able to grab 1 of 6 empty spots. By the time i left Saturday it was full constantly. As usual my cell service wasn’t very dependable

Arizona camping at its finest

This campground doesn’t have hookup, BUT it is the most beautiful campground I’ve ever seen. Nestled in a canyon on the Colorado river, everything has been kept entirely natural looking to match the area. We were able to walk to the Colorado river. So fun!

BEAUTIFUL campground

Only reason I gave this review 4/5 stars is the rangers always checking up on us. We are more into dispersed camping and this was a pit stop going to the Grand Canyon from Zion. Area is nice and clean. Bathrooms were available as well. Other than that, solid campsite with tables. You can also bring your boats to the river as well. 

Rangers around

The best thing about this campground is it's proximity to the Colorado River and Lees Ferry Boat Launch. We floated/kayaked our way from Petroglyph Beach down to Lees Ferry and camped here after. The campground is on a little bluff with the Vermillion Cliffs on on side and a view of the river to the other. It's beautiful! We were comfortable in our tent even during a little rain and lightning during the night. There is multiple nearby trails for hiking and Paria Beach along the river to get your toes wet, although you won't be going in too far as there are some light rapids in the middle of the river. This campground has 1 bathroom facility (no showers?) In addition to a sink for filling up jerry cans, etc... with potable water. Many sites offer shades structures over tables but sites are still relatively close together. There are a few group sites in the middle of the campground. FYI The park rangers check up on the campground often. We were here on a Tuesday night in September and the place gets pretty busy (likely 75% full) however, we checked it out on a late Friday afternoonnand it had multiple spots open. I only gave this place 4 stars due to the lack of showers and privacy between sites.

They say 35 ft max I had no problem with my 40 solitude. Selective sites though for the large rig.

Views and more views

We originally planned to stay here a couple of nights but extended to 10 because we loved it so much. The views, the river, and the hikes are all amazing. The trick here is to get here before noon. Each day about 5 to 8 sites open up but they are usually filled up by 1300. If you can’t get a side there is Boondocking about 5 miles down the road off the 89a. Just come back the next morning and grab a site.

I subtracted one star due to the bathrooms. One of the two bathrooms was closed and one that was open was slightly disgusting.

There is a camp host on side to checks the site tagged each morning, and the Rangers periodically drive through.

There is water available on site and the rv dump station is just up the road at the ranger station.

Amazing views. 

This is a really nice simple campground located deeper in the Vermillion Cliffs. Even though we boondocked for free in Marble Canyon just a few miles away, it was worth it to us to pay the $20 to stay closer to the cliffs and the river and closer to some cool hiking trails. There is no water or power hookup, but there is a dump station and potable water just up the road. The nozzle for the water hose was not threaded, so you can fill your jugs but you can't connect to the RV to fill your tanks unless you have a water bandit.

  

Heads up: You also need to pay the $15 to get into the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area if you do not have an America the Beautiful Annual or Interagency Pass. 

  

Sites and roadway are paved and each site has a picnic table, fire ring, shade structure, and what we liked was there was a little divider wall between camp sites, so you sort of have a little bit of privacy from your neighbor. The views from all the sites are incredible in any direction. Our site #23 wasn’t completely level and we needed to pull out the levelers. 

  

Good cell reception for all 3 major carriers, but TMobile was roaming and Verizon alternated between roaming and 1-2 bars of LTE. Campground is first come first served only. We showed up late morning on a Friday and about 1/2 the sites were available.

Loved It

Each campsite has its own bench with a roof above that will provide some shade which is very nice on a hot summer day.
Since it does not have showers it's a good idea to bring a showerbag you can hang it very nicely on the roof.


Nice and quite camping

We drove in pretty late and all the campsites with wind shelters were taken. During the day it is very windy here. The bathrooms were so gross we ended up leaving after one night. 

Gorgeous but windy

This is a rad little spot downriver from Horseshoe Bend below Page.  Lots of history here if you care to seek it out.  This is also where you'll park your car if you're making the top-down trek through the Paria Canyon from White House camp or Wire Pass.  

  

Check the weather before camping here.  The winds can come howling down the canyon and make life miserable for you.  There are a few campsites here with windbreaks, but not all have them.  There is also very little shade, so be aware of that during summer.  Easy walk to the river from the campground.

I love that it has privacy or wind shields, not sure which, at each site. Grounds are clean. There are 2 sets of bathrooms - one is locked up currently. The other set is at the other end of campsite, but has 3 flushing toilets and 2 sinks (in women’s). There is also a utility sink outside but I didn’t get a good look. There is a water pump but it was locked up so not sure if it’s accessible in warmer seasons or if not for guests. Super close to a chevron and laundromat. There are also showers at laundromat but only 5 min, water is barely warm, lock on door 4 doesn’t work, 2 others were out of order and I didn’t go in first one bc 50cents to enter. $2 or $3 to shower. It wasn’t clean clean but not the grossest I’ve seen. Doesn’t appear to have anyone there monitoring. Bathroom there is not that clean. Campsite itself is right by river and if you’re in the right spot you can get a really beautiful view. But none are bad spots. There is a dumpster and a can recycling bin too.  

Clean and Cozy

Went in December with only one other party in the entire campsite. It overlooked Paria beach and was absolutely gorgeous! 

Listened to the river and had whiskey and a ￼fire - recommend off season for completely solitude

Camping at lees ferry

We really enjoyed staying here, it was a busy weekend, the site was full both nights on an April weekend, but still had spots when we arrived at 1pm, so get there as early as you can. We left for the day in our RV to sightsee, and when we came back someone was in our spot. They hadn't understood the procedure of placing your ticket stub on the post, and thought the pitch was empty and bought themselves a ticket which they displayed in their car.

After a polite but awkward conversation, the person moved on, but the day after we left some items in our parking spot to let others know it was occupied, even though we were out for the day. Just a tip for anyone in the same position.

It was very quiet, easy to find, with dark skies, and within very quick reach of Lees Ferry boat launch, where we picked up our (booked ahead) kayaks to kayak Horseshoe bend. A lifelong memory!! Also recommend stopping at the Navajo bridge at the start of the road to see the Californian Condors which perch underneath. Wonderful.

Great location for access to the Colorado River

Stunning location with mostly smallish sites. Some are pull through most are back in. We fit our 33’ TT No problem though and sites are more spacious than an rv park. Overheard the showers have not been working for years. The communal sink was plugged and disgusting. Bathrooms were adequately clean. Picnic shelters at each campsite are welcome in the heat and wind.  This was a popular spot in April so show up before noon.

We stopped for a one night stay in this secluded camping. You pay 20,- USD in an envelope and choose your own spot. The facilities are basic. No showers, just flush toilets. What surprised us was the option to take a swim in the Colorado river which is right below the spot. It was way over 100 degrees, so the river temperature was a really pleasant cool down.

Awesome little campground surrounded by cliffs, overlooking the Colorado River. No reservations taken, so first come first served. No hook ups. But potable water &amp; dump station close by. Each site has shade structure, table &amp; fire ring. Very unlevel. Bathrooms were just OK. Million dollar views for $20/night! Walk down to the river for a cool dip.

Hidden gem

**General:** 51-site campground, no reservations. We arrived just before noon on a Thursday in mid-April and had our choice of sites but by early evening, the campground was full. No hookups. 

  

**Site Quality:** All sites are gravel; some are pull-through, some back-in but not all are level. Sites 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20 are designated as group sites. Sites 2, 4, 6, 24, 26, and 28 have the same layout (parallel parking for vehicles and shared picnic table pavilion but are not labeled as group sites. Since you cannot make reservations, best to drive around to figure out what will work best for you. A picnic table and fire pit are at each site. Some tables are covered; ours in site 41 was not covered and while we did not need it for sun protection, we could have used it to shield us from the wind. (It was so windy that we were not able to cook/eat outside). 

  

**Bathhouse:** Two located in the campground but only the upper one was open. Basic but clean. Three stalls, two sinks and while there was soap, there was no hand dryer or paper towels, and aside from a weird red light that went on as I was leaving, there is no light at night so plan accordingly. There are no showers; showers, laundry, and other services are available at the Marble Canyon Lodge and Trading Post, about five miles away. 

  

**Activities:** Several hikes but not from the campground. Paria Beach is an easy walk downhill and there is a trail to “Secret Beach” from there but once you reach the end of the trail, you cannot (easily) access the beach. Fishing requires a license. 15 miles of smooth water is open to boaters between Lee’s Ferry and Glen Canyon Dam. 

  

Despite the windy conditions, this was a nice overnight for us and the price was right ($10 with senior pass/$20 without)

Great views of the Colorado River

We loved this campground! Visited in late February and there were probably only 6 other vehicles camped here. Gorgeous views of the Colorado River and you can hear the river from the camp grounds! One of the bathrooms were under construction while we were there which was fine considering only a few people where there and there was a second 1. First come first serve. $20, pay in an envelope, cash or card.

Each site is spacious enough with some divider. Clean bathroom and running water. You can drive down a bit to enjoy the beautiful Colorado river. 
Pay by envelope, Cash or credit card where you write CC information on it. 
There were 4-5 RVs when we arrived but not crowded as there are plenty available lot.
We recommend this site if you are closed by. 

Stunning,  Peaceful a good amenities 

I stayed on a Wednesday night, late August. I arrived at 5pm and only two campers were here, by bedtime there was a total of 7 sites used. 
1 bathroom is under construction, 1 bathroom is very fresh and clean (2 flushing toilets in womens side). 
I did not see any dish washing area, but saw a sign for it. 
I love that most sites have picnic tables &amp; wind blocks. It did get windy at night. 
I wish I had more time in the area. 
My site (49) did get some headlights from the road, but im not too sensitive to that. And the road was only moderately driven anyways. 

Loved it!

Very nice campground. Clean. Is as described---no electric or RV hookups. Most picnic tables have shade structures and there are privacy barriers between many of the campsites. There are flush toilets(!!) and bathroom has lighting. There are no showers. There is no soap but there was an air hand dryer. I see some complaints about the bathrooms but man, I am always delighted when there are clean(and these were) flush toilets after many, many campsites with pit toilets. The camp host said the bathrooms are cleaned every day.

The river is right below the campsite. You can hear it at night (once the generators for the RVers go off). Be sure to check out the trails down by the Lees Ferry boat landing. We saw big horn sheep on the river trail. Close by in the other direction is Cathedral Wash trail. wow, wow, wow. It is challenging in that there are 3 points where one needs to climb down (then back up) a 30 ft drop in the wash. Lots of hikers on the trail. The walk down the wash is magical because as you descend you are going through the layers of sediment that you can see in the Vermillion Cliffs. Also, take time to check out Navajo Bridge Monument. The condors hang out on the bridge structures. You will be able to capture amazing pictures.

A treasure!

First come first serve. $26/night. Cleanest bathrooms I’ve ever seen.  Plumbing with sinks. Not to be missed is Cathedral wash hike. Nearby historical riverfront hike at the boat launch.

Tucked in a beautiful canyon

Views were amazing at this campground. There’s also so much to do, fruit picking, hiking, swimming, fishing. Didn’t bring our dogs but there was a more calm part of the river that dogs can swim. Definitely stinky by the bathrooms…campsite are super close together.
