Seward Highway Dispersed near Girdwood

Description

Along the Seward Highway (AK-1) corridor just south of Girdwood, a flat pullout sits backed by the steep forested ridgelines that frame Turnagain Arm and framed by small lakes with mountain views in every direction. Highway noise is a constant daytime companion, though it settles after dark; a short dirt track leads back from the main pullout toward the lake for more separation from the road. Evidence of regular use — fire remains, multiple vehicles — makes this a well-worn overnight stop for travelers moving between Anchorage and the Kenai Peninsula.
