The scent of spruce and the sound of flowing water mark this forested RV campground along the Chilkoot River. Salmon Run RV Campground & Cabins operates from mid-April through mid-October, providing full hookups for RVs along with cabin rentals on wooded and open terrain. Electric and water connections serve RV campers, while amenities include restrooms, hot showers, and picnic tables at each site.
Campfires are permitted with firewood available for purchase. Pets accompany their owners throughout the property. The campground accepts reservations and sits within easy reach of Chilkoot Lake State Recreation Site and other area camping options. RV travelers find this a practical base for exploring the Haines area's salmon runs and mountain access roads.

Spectacular ocean & mountain views in a forested setting. 18 electric RV sites for rigs of all sizes. 15 campsites & 2 Camping Cabins. Located 1.8 miles from the ferry terminal, 3.5 miles from Chilkoot river with world class salmon fishing and bear viewing, 6.5 miles from Haines. Nice and clean restrooms/showers, campfire rings, picnic tables, firewood. A great location for a true Alaska experience… hiking, fishing, wildlife viewing, photography and more! We welcome groups of all sizes. Pet friendly. We are new owners as of September 2019 and this is our favorite place on earth! We have been staying at Salmon Run since Ruth Ann opened up in 1995 and look forward to meeting all the old and new campers that make Salmon Run such a special place!

Directions
Located just 1.8 miles past the Alaska ferry terminal on Lutak Road. When exiting the ferry in Haines, turn right on the roadway in front of the ferry terminal and follow along the waters edge for 1.8 miles to the campground entrance. If you're arriving from Haines follow highway 7 through town till you come to the "Y" in the road. You can travel to either the left or right being Union or Main Street. At Second Ave. turn left, the road come together forming into Lutak Rd. continue on for 6½ miles to the campground where the entrance is well marked with signs.
