The North Trailhead of Resurrection Pass Trail serves as both a hiking access point and a free camping area managed by the National Forest. Campers can set up across the bridge from the parking lot, alongside the road, or within the parking area itself. A single pit toilet provides the only restroom facility at the trailhead.
Access requires following the road to reach the North trailhead, where hikers and bikers must sign in at the trail register. The area becomes buggy during warmer months, so insect repellent proves essential. Hope Alaska Backcountry Sites sits just south of the trailhead for those seeking additional camping options in the area.
