Description
At the mouth of Portage Pass, just before the Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel, this large level gravel parking area sits on Chugach National Forest land against a dramatic backdrop of glaciated peaks and the corridor connecting Portage Valley to Whittier. No posted overnight restrictions have been observed, and the open layout accommodates rigs of any size with room to spare. Cell signal is minimal but a clear sky view makes satellite internet viable.
