Nine Mile Campground sits within Tongass National Forest, a vast temperate rainforest system along Alaska's southeast coast near Yakutat. The campground is managed by the US Forest Service and does not permit pets. Nearby Forest Service cabins give campers additional options in the same corridor, including Eagle Cabin, roughly two miles to the south.
Description
The Nine Mile campground has six tent platforms and is primarily used in the spring during the steelhead run. Tent platforms are first come first serve. Please remember to pack out all trash, keep a clean camp, and store food properly, to minimize bear and human conflicts.
