This free hike-in campground sits within AK State Tentatively Approved Grant land, managed by the Alaska Department of Natural Resources. Campers access the site by following a narrow path down from the roadside to a camping area positioned at the base of rocky terrain. The location provides views of the Nenana River and features a waterfall nearby. Since the area falls outside National Park boundaries, overnight camping is permitted without restrictions. The setup works well for backpackers comfortable with carrying gear to remote spots and those seeking campgrounds around Healy as a base for exploring the region.
