Description
Boreal forest closes in tight along the Dalton Highway (AK 11) near the Arctic Circle, and this dispersed pull-off sits in that timber just downstream from the Fish Creek bridge on the north side of the road — a free alternative to the developed BLM campground a short distance away. The forested setting buffers much of the highway noise by night, though daytime road sounds carry. Expect heavy mosquitoes in summer; the spot accommodates a few smaller rigs side by side.
