Creekside Parking

Anglers and off-road vehicle enthusiasts will find this dispersed camping area positioned along a creek just outside Valdez. The small gravel lot accommodates big rigs despite limited space, with room for one or two units depending on configuration. Campers report good cell signal strength and open sky access suitable for Starlink and solar setups.

The adjacent creek provides constant water sounds that mask road noise for sleeping. No amenities exist on-site—campers must pack out all trash and bring their own tables. Access remains straightforward even in wet conditions. For those wanting full hookups, Eagle's Rest RV Park offers developed sites less than a mile away.

Creekside Stay

Got here late one night before leaving on the ferry the next morning. Did not cross the bridge because there was someone already set up on the other side of the creek. It was rainy when we got there but had no trouble getting in and out.

Great Free Overnight Spot

I stayed here two nights while in Valdez in the pickup camper. Small lot that could handle a big rig or two smaller rigs. No trash or picnic tables. Good cell signal. Open enough for Starlink and solar. Creek next to lot provides white noise for sleeping.
