Beautiful, remote dispersed sites, but beware of mosquitos!
Made the trek out on what was a fairly manageable road. Quite bumpy and rough in some sections- 4WD recommended but you could probably make it up without.
The spots themselves are spectacular- incredible views and very sequestered. You only see one every once in a while as you drive up the road.
The reason I’m only giving it 4 stars is because we nearly got eaten alive by mosquitos. I’m from Florida and I’ve never seen swarms of mosquitos this bad in my life. All the bug spray in the world will not help you. They are ravenous and can bite you through your clothes. We ended up sitting in our tent the entire time because of how unbearable it was- and even then you can see literally hundreds of mosquitos resting on the tent waiting for you to come out so they can feed on you. This ruined the experience for me tbh.
If you do decide to camp out here, I would say to bring one of those big bug zappers, a fan (or two), and make sure to wear multiple loose layers so they can’t get you through your clothes.
