Rusk County manages this dispersed site on Buck Lake as a rustic, single-vehicle spot that requires a 4x4 and tolerance for a rough, narrow access road with no passing areas. Campers who make it in find a rock fire ring and a small picnic table. RVs over 20 feet cannot access the site. A $25 permit covers up to 14 days. The lake is a short walk from camp, though thick lily pads along the shoreline limit bank fishing. Kayaks and paddleboards give better access to open water. OHV trails run through the surrounding area. Anglers and paddlers looking for places to camp around Weyerhaeuser will also find county-managed options nearby, including Audie Lake County Park about two miles to the southeast.
