Mount Baker Highway (WA 542) Dispersed — Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie NF

Description

Where Glacier Creek meets the North Fork Nooksack River, this forested pull-off on the Mount Baker Highway corridor offers the constant backdrop of converging whitewater and a flat, shaded area large enough for a couple of rigs or several vans. A short walk leads down to a black sand beach at the confluence — worth the stroll for the setting. Road noise from WA 542 carries into camp, but the river sound largely absorbs it; no cell service reaches this stretch of the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, and the 14-day USFS stay limit applies.
