A favorite, so close to the city
When you want to get away from it all, but don’t want to travel far from the city, THIS is the spot. Spacious campsites. Running water. Flushing toilets. Showers. A tranquil Puget Sound experience. I’ll keep coming back.

Quiet and Beautiful
This was stop 3 for us on a summer camping vacation. Wow, what a find! Very quiet and well-maintained county park. Large spots with water and electric hook-ups. Great view of the sound from the campfire. Will add this to our places to come back to!
Camping near the ocean
Camping at Kayak Point Park is wonderful. The camping sites are on the hill covering a small loop. Down the hill is a trail leading to the the ocean with miles of sand, plus picnic tables and barbecue pits.
A Quick Escape
This is a great campground, it only has one loop of camping and it's a small county park, but surprisingly the sites are not on top of each other and there is good privacy between sites. It is designated as a 'dry' campground, but I think as long as you're not being obnoxious you are ok. For those with RVs/Trailers there is no dump station at this park and the sites do not have a sewer hookup.
Give this new world of remote work, I also included a SpeedTest if someone is considering to work from a campsite.

Close in escape
The campground is up top and the day use area (beach and boat ramp and pier) is down below. During a previous trip in April we saw a whale feeding in the bay. We take our boat and crab. Its close to town but surprisingly few people are aware of the campground. There's yurts, but we stay in our trailer.
Close escape
Opps this is for the campground not the yurts. There's a fishing pier and boat ramp and great beach access. The sites are big, they just redid the utilities so each site now has water.

Awesome Location
We use Kayak Point as a place to start out the season. Fishing is good, the scenery is awesome, and it's peaceful. This year they've done some renovations to the campground.
Kayak Point
Take a hint from the name and bring a kayak! The coolest thing about the campground is the yurts. They’re modern and pretty close together if it’s just your family, but we were here for a scout event and it was just so neat staying in the yurts, especially in the colder months. Some bathrooms have water flush toilets. There’s a playground and the shore to keep the kids busy and fishing for us.
