Description
The ridgetop in Washington's Hood Canal corridor offers sweeping 360-degree views of the Canal, the surrounding forest, and — on a clear day — Rainier, Baker, Adams, and St. Helens all at once. This WADNR dispersed area has several leveled spots and small fire rings scattered around the summit, and the exposure keeps crowds thin even on summer weekends. The access road off Hamma Hamma Road (NF 25) is steep, loose gravel near the top, and high-clearance or 4WD is strongly advised; 2WD rigs have made it in dry conditions but have also turned back on the same pitch.
