Dispersed Camping FS-025

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

A short dead-end road off FS-025 leads to three or four pull-offs on a narrow strip of USFS land wedged between private properties, with a gate marking where public access ends. Some sites have fire rings, though fire restrictions are common during dry summer months, and campers should check current conditions before arriving. No water or restrooms are available, so everything must be packed in. The road fills quickly on weekends, and even Thursday evenings have seen all spots taken by nightfall, so arriving early matters. NF Forest Road 52 Dispersed Campsite sits just east for campers who find this stretch full, and those wanting hookups or facilities can find campgrounds near Ashford with more infrastructure.

Quiet road near Rainier

This is a short road that dead ends in some private land, but with about four separate pull-offs for vehicles. Mine didn’t have a campfire ring. No water or outhouses available. Very quiet. I arrived at 6 pm on a Thursday and got a spot. Several vehicles from by later in the evening looking for a spot but the road was already full

Nice spot off the road

This spot is opposite in a small strip of USFS land in between two pieces of private property. The road leads back to the private property but there are 3-4 nice little sites very well spaced out along the road before the private property gates. There are fire rings but we visited during a time of high fire danger and little orange flags had been placed in the rings stating no fires. Pack in everything you need, no water or bathrooms available as with most dispersed camping. All of the spots here were pretty clean, no major concerns.
