Lava Point Campground — Zion National Park

Small and quiet, but gorgeous

I waited all last year for this camp site to open up but never did due to covid. Was thrilled to car camp there a few weekends ago, about 8 spots or so with free camping, one well maintained outhouse.

It’s about a 1/3 mile path over to Lava Point overlook looking down into the heart of Zion National park. It is the only non-BLM camping I have done in Utah, for a car or tent camper I found it quiet and refreshing, not buggy or hot.
