We found this campground by accident. We had originally planned to camp inside Canyonlands, but got there too late for first-come, first-serve. However, Hamburger Rock turned out to be way better. It sits right outside the Needles District entrance to Canyionlands and provides amazing views of the surrounding landscape. The sites are scattered around the rock formation, providing a lot of privacy and, at $6/night, is way cheaper than inside the park, which costs $20/night. It has pit toilets, but no water, so make sure you bring plenty of your own. However, there is water at the visitors center inside Canyonlands and, when we were there, it was free.
