We loved the reservoir! It was easy to drive up to a campsite and unload the tents and still use the Jeep and truck tailgates for coolers and such. We floated and also took the kayaks. There is little shade so make sure to pack sunscreen in the summer.

There are no facilities, so being your own water and plan to use "natures toilet". I would suggest water shoes because the shore can be murky when wading in.
