Perched in the canyon country of Glen Canyon National Recreation Area near the historic Hite crossing of the Colorado River, this pair of flat, open turnouts sits along an unpaved road accessible without four-wheel drive. The slickrock terrain invites trailless exploration in every direction, with sweeping views toward the Colorado River overlook to the south. A free overnight permit is required for camping within Glen Canyon NRA; mosquitoes can be heavy at dawn and dusk.
