Dixie National Forest Utah
Elevation 6800 ft Was 90s during day ( a lot cooler in shade) 60s at night, so quite a drop in temp. No wifi. No cell reception. Clean bathrooms. Hosts were keeping up with sites all day. No showers. Dump station is a few miles down. Some sites are available to reserve online. Others are walk up. Rv and tents. Absolutely beautiful. A few other campgrounds on the way to Crackfoot. Entrance fee was $5 but waived because we were camping. Fees are $17 per night. Take cash or checks. Half price for senior or handicapped passes. Cows came in to feed before sunset. Deer too. Coyotes could be heard at night. And something stole my bananas HA! A steak restaraunt down the hill about 5 miles away. Sells ice and stuff too. Hosts sell firewood bundles for $6 each. The sunset was amazing!! Red!! All of my photos are right from our campsite! There was an all day concert one day. The echo of the music through the mountains was awesome!! This place filled up fast. We stayed from Sunday to Tuesday. Check in is 2 but they allow earlier if no one is at site. Check out is noon or 11 . We arrived around noon.
