I drove up with no reservation and feared I wouldn't get a spot. But I lucked up. The grounds are very clean and the sites are nicely spaced out. If you can grab a spot by the little creek, I would. I was there during a pretty busy time but the noise was surprisingly not a problem. I had considered camping above Carvers Gap but not being familiar with the area yet, I chose this instead. It's great if you have children camping with you as well. There's a pool, playgrounds, and plenty of room to ride a bike.
