    Wow! I wanted some peaceful time beside a creek and my wish was granted. First off communication leaves nothing to question, friendly and responsive from the get go. You are greeted as soon as you come down the easy to spot and welcoming entrance. I travel in a Class B Campervan and was directed to a well shaded spot where my side doors opened directly to the creek, ahhhh. (Site #2) The Hosts Rob and Kim have understand the need for a spot to bring a big rig and most of the sites here will accommodate big rigs.A level spot is assured and each site is by the creek, the sound of moving water is included free of charge. Pets are very welcome here and my dog loved being here. Some very nice bonuses here are a bench swing and firepit in the sites, access to a very cute enclosed dining cabana made from rough hewn wood harvested from this land and built by Rob, access to a grill and of course laundry facilities and a shower (fees apply).I went down the trail where the very clean tent sites are and they are also so cute and include a mat and nice table as well as a firepit.I have already told several friends about this spot and I actually chose to extend my stay

    Smoky Mountain Springs Campground

    Gets You to the Mountains

    I generally enjoyed my stay here because the location is near so many places that define east Tennessee. The campground itself was unremarkable but has full hookups. Never spoke to anyone in person. There is a basic gas station next door which was nice. Less than 10 minutes to great hikes, ziplines/rapids, and a local distillery. If you are an avid hiker, Buzzards Roost is a must.

    Small, clean. Nice modern, renovated RV /tent sites. Easy to leave your boat or kayak in the water near your site. Nice, clean, easy to walk to beach. Only one waterfront site has full hook ups. One row back was great.

    Mossy Creek

    All n All it's a good spot for fishing and camp trips.

    I've stayed here multiple times always a good time. Its TVA protected and next to a water treatment plant. Mossy creek flows into Cherokee Lake which greatly improves the fishing year round.

    Campground is not big which is a plus. Couple miles off the highway so not a lot of traffic noise. Camp store is fully stocked. However the food at the snack shack not so good. Playground and pool are very small compared to other KOA properties. A lot of full time campers which is not a bad thing but leaves very little room for folks just passing through.

    Surroundings Make The Trip

    First thing--be sure you check your route here. Do not end up on Happy Valley Rd with a big rig. My RV life app took me that way with a 30ft TT and the park explicitly says to avoid it. The campground itself is somewhat unremarkable. It was nearly empty during my stay. My site was not remotely level, but no big deal to me. The views around the area made it all worthwhile to me.

    Rocky Top Campground & RV Park

    Long term stay

    I stayed long term while working in the area, including through the winter months, and loved the propane delivery. Coming home to a full tank already dropped at my site was such a nice perk.

    It’s a beautiful, peaceful little campground tucked into the mountains and you can tell a lot of care goes into it. It’s not a parking lot like other places I’ve stayed the sites are tiered on the mountainside but level and large. Staff is friendly, they have a game room and laundry room and the store sells cold beer! It was a nice home away from home while working in town
