Avondale is one of many excellent places on Old Hickory Lake to fish, boat and picnic. Off Nashville Pike, drive slow on the one lane road in, traffic coming out too.

Kato found a trail while we were walking that leads to several good but trashy fishing spots.

There were several boat trailers and vehicles in the parking area so it's a popular spot. There was also an interesting person sound asleep laying across a picnic table and while we were there the boat cops showed up and looked to be ticketing two paddle boarders? Lol

There has been a lot of rain and flooding this year, there is a lot of driftwood along the shore, the area is well maintained and has several picnic areas and a pavilion, plus the boat ramp.
