Elk Crossing 555 Campground is a privately owned, family-oriented campground situated along PA-555 in Benezette, Pennsylvania, in the heart of Pennsylvania's Elk Country. The campground is open year-round and is co-located with a general store, making it a convenient base for exploring the region's free-roaming elk herds and nearby natural areas.
Facilities
The campground offers electric RV/trailer sites (including back-in grass sites), non-electric RV/trailer sites, and primitive tent sites — each equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. A dump station and water fill station are available for RV travelers. Bathrooms with showers and toilets are on site. The adjacent general store stocks groceries, snacks, beer, ice, firewood, fishing supplies, and souvenirs, and also offers gas.
Recreation
Fishing is available in the creek adjacent to the campground. Hiking opportunities exist in the surrounding area. Playground and volleyball facilities are on site. The Elk Country Visitor Center is a short drive away for wildlife viewing.
