Twin Lakes

Beautiful spot and convenient location!

On the map this doesn’t look particularly well placed, but it’s actually an easy shot to Crater Lake or to other activities in the Rogue River valley and the Central Cascades. Rafting for all skill levels, wine tasting, fishing, hiking, rock climbing all a stone’s throw away. In the meantime, being a little distance off the highway is a blessing at this scenic campground. The road is in decent repair (unpaved but well packed dirt, no major potholes).

This is a primitive campground and no services are available. The Twin Lakes trailhead nearby is a semi famous 11.2 mile hike with significant elevation gain and stunning views, worth looking into for a hike or perhaps a backpacking side trip. It would be most comfortably done in two days.

The rapids near this campground on Copland Creek are more extreme than they look and unless you’re really experienced and have done your due diligence, recommend seeking local assistance coming up with a plan to navigate them safely.
