Peaceful and Quiet

This campground just outside of Medford, OR near the Applegate River has potential. The road in is paved but very narrow with deep potholes. There are many trees that are close to the campground loop that make navigating through and backing into a spot a bit tough. We found a spot in our 26’ class C but there were some sites we wouldn't have been able to back into.

The parking areas at each site are fairly narrow as well and many are not level. Bigger rigs will have a hard time getting through here.

There are picnic tables and fire pits at each site and showers, flush toilet bathrooms and garbage available but no recycling. Water spigots are throughout the campground.  Restrooms and one shower are handicap accessible.

There is a host on site and self pay at the kiosk $22/night. No reservations for the individual sites, but group sites require reservations. There are no hook ups or dump station. Solar power would be an issue as it is heavily shaded.

A couple of the other campers were questionable. There was a beat up van with a bunch of stuff (including a 55 gal drum) thrown on top at one site and later a homeless looking lady with a ton of stuff was dropped off by a Kabota and left there.

Everyone kept to themselves and it was surprisingly very quiet. We stayed here on a Fri night in early May and most spots were open.

Lots of wineries in the area offer wine tasting and there is also fishing in the river.

ATT 3 bars, Verizon and TMobile had LTE on roaming.
