NF 570 Dispersed — Deschutes NF Metolius Valley

Description

High on the rimrock above the Metolius River valley in Deschutes National Forest, this dispersed area sits along NF 570 — a well-maintained forest service track that climbs well above the river corridor and opens onto sweeping southward views. Fire rings are present, wildlife is common, and the quiet is genuine outside of occasional weekend target-shooting (legal on national forest land) that leaves spent shells scattered about. The access road demands high-clearance and four-wheel drive in winter conditions, and the approach is tight enough to favor smaller rigs.
