Northgate Dam Rec Center

Northgate Dam Campground provides clean and well-maintained facilities. The campground offers numerous camper slots that can also accommodate tents, all with electrical hookups available for $10 per night (versus $5 for non-electric sites). Visitors have access to clean vault toilets and a fish cleaning station for anglers. The recreation area includes two playgrounds, a basketball court, and four small docks around the pond for fishing and swimming. Note that while electrical hookups are available, there are no water hookups or dump stations on site, so campers should plan accordingly.

Northgate Dam Campground offers easy access with plenty of space for vehicles and camping setups. The campground is located approximately a half hour from the Portal border crossing, making it convenient for travelers. Camping fees are very affordable at $5 per night for standard sites, or $10 per night if you want to use electrical hookups. There's a designated swimming area with its own dock for cooling off during warm weather. The campground features two playgrounds and a basketball court for families with children. Water activities are popular, so bringing a kayak, canoe, or boat is highly recommended to take full advantage of this peaceful setting.
