Thanksgiving weekend

It was surprisingly busy, almost all sites occupied. There is not much space between the sides, but the park is huge and right at the lake. We stayed only one night. A lot of young families were here with their bikes. Restrooms were fair. All in all a nice campground if you don't mind little privacy.

Very nice, quiet,Primative camping

This camp ground is very small and on the side of a very quiet road next to beautiful fields with breath taking views it has no paved roads so bring a truck or suv sedans will get stuck easily there is no cell service and it is very clean of trash perfect quiet getaway

Back to Nature.....You’ll Love It

Jomeokee Campground is a well cared for small campground and has such a calming and peaceful natural vibe. If you like “natural” “real” campgrounds without all the asphalt and concrete, you will love this one. I camp to get out into nature.

The trees, the adjacent pastures, the farm pond, the rolling hills, and the scenic views make this a great little campground. The bottom row of sites looks directly at Pilot Mtn in the distance. The sunsets are gorgeous.

The large grassy fields have lots of kids and adults playing ball and frisbee. They allow tent groups and everyone seems to be having a great time.

This is a very quiet campground at night. The camp host leads you in and makes sure you are situated in your site. Another camp host delivers firewood to your site if you place order.

The bath house is centrally located and is clean. They also have a dump station on the property.

The owner rides thru frequently and visits with campers. This campground is very pet friendly.

We were here in early Sept 2020 and in site 51

Relaxing by the Stream

We camped here June 26-28 and had a great time. This place has an actual water park within the campground (although closed for COVID). We had FHU and were in site A3 right beside the stream. In this park, all the sites are dirt only, no paved pads, but do have rock fire rings. The WiFi was pretty good considering the number of people who were probably using it. This is a gated campground, you only enter with a pass card.

Bath house was clean and the grounds were very well maintained. The pond dam was really close to our site and the rushing water will really lull you to sleep at night.

Close to Lake, Great Bike Riding in Park

We camped here near end of July. This is a COE park and it was well kept, clean and easy to get to.

We had a back in site with W/E, 94B. This is a good interior site. There are great sites down on the peninsula that have water views but we were not able to get one on this trip.

Bike riding in the park is fun and there are plenty of areas to bike.

Nice place

Great campground. Extremely nice staff. Rear lots have a nice Mountain View. Showers & bathroom area clean. Small store in office. A few washers & dryers on site. Terrible Wifi. Family owned campground.

Great for a One Night Stop off I-81

We stayed here for a quick one night stop to break up our trip. It was a super convenient stop right off I-81 and had great truck stops off the exit as well. We have a 40’ class A and flat tow a Jeep. We stayed in back-in site 38. It was a decent site slightly off level, but nothing too crazy. When we stop here again, we’ll book a pull through so we don’t have to unhook the Jeep.

Easy off 81 truck stops for fuel, propane etc.

Great campground, we have stayed here several times, great home base while scouting the surrounding areas. Lots to see and do in area. Not to mention lots of activities. They have lots of cabins different types including tee, pees full hookups and lots of amenities.

Amazing

Wonderful small campground away from everything! Owner was very nice. We will definitely return.

Wild Ponies.....

Grayson Highlands State Park is just one of those places you love! The views are awesome, the trails excellent and then there’s wild ponies ! I brought my daughter and granddaughter with me this time and we all had a very good visit. My granddaughter got such a thrill out of meeting wild ponies and there were so many babies, it was so much fun ;) The campground is quiet and the sites are mostly shaded. There’s good separation between sites, though some are a little more open then others. There are a few sites where you are literally sitting on the edge of a very steep drop off, I avoid these ! There are Trailhead’s within the campground and several other very unique and challenging trails. The shower house was a short walk through the trees. The camp Host was across the road from the shower house and next to the dump site. He had firewood on site and was very helpful and informative. No water sports here , but lotsa hiking and stars.
