Croatan NF Dispersed off FR 168

The coastal lowland forest of Croatan National Forest in eastern North Carolina holds this informal spur in flat, sandy terrain near Mairey Branch — the kind of quiet, off-grid pocket the forest is known for. Narrow entrance points and soft sand partway up the access track limit this spot to smaller vehicles: compact cars, small vans, and moto campers will fit; larger rigs will not. A short trail extends eastward from the clearing before fading into the flatlands.
