Overview
Blue Ridge Ranch is a privately owned, 440-acre working ranch and campground established in December 2020, located in Ferguson, NC (Wilkes County) in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The property sits nestled between two mountain ridges and caters to RV campers, tent campers, and glamping guests. All proceeds flow to Hope for His Children, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit operating youth camps at the ranch.
Facilities
The ranch offers 28 total sites: 11 RV sites with electric and water hookups (30/50-amp), 9 tent sites, and 5 lodging/standard sites, with a maximum RV length of 45 feet. Both back-in and pull-through pads are available. On-site amenities include showers, laundry, Wi-Fi, and The Outpost camp store — a historic 150-year-old building serving as the welcome center and selling farm-fresh ranch products. A covered pavilion with commercial kitchen is available for group events.
Recreation
The property features five stocked ponds, more than a mile of trout streams, waterfalls, and established hiking trails. Glamping options include 24-foot authentic teepees and overland trailer packages. Golf cart rentals are available. Ranch tours with farm animals can be arranged, and firewood is sold on-site.
Natural Features
The ranch encompasses pasture, mountain ridges, barns, spring-fed creeks, and timber forest with established trails. The Blue Ridge Parkway is approximately 20 miles north, and the town of Boone is a 30-minute drive.
