Copper City BLM

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Managed by the BLM and signed off Route 287, Copper City BLM sits above the valley on Copper City Road, where the elevation brings noticeably cooler temperatures than the surrounding lowlands. The lot is large enough to accommodate multiple rigs, and campers who drive further past the entrance find more room to spread out. Two pit toilets serve the site, along with a picnic area. Trash left by day users, including cans, casings, and cigarette butts, has been a recurring issue. Campers who don't mind packing out a little extra will find this a workable base for those exploring campgrounds near Three Forks and the surrounding region.

A perfect break from the heat

Beautiful site with plenty of room if you venture further down the road from the entrance.

In the current heatwave experienced across the region, being perched up here feels about 20 degrees cooler which is a lifesaver.

There is sadly quite a bit of trash around evidently left by locals who use the area for recreational activities, incl. shells/casings, beer cans, cigarette butts, etc.

Pick up what you can while here, this location deserves the love.

Amazing grounds- don’t want to miss

This place has 2 pit toilets in a veryyyy nice facility. Amazing 360 views. And a picnic area. You will see the copper city sign off of route 287 then follow copper city road right up. The lot is big.
