Nice campground with a marina and beach area

Decent campground with lots of sites with decent space. There is a marina there and beach area. Nice covered picnic benches along the shore. Some sites also have covered picnic tables.

Biggest negative was that Bathrooms are sparse and we didn’t have soap the entire weekend.

Grand time at Grand Lake

We met friends there. We boated, jet ski'd, visited, ate, made new friends and had the best week. Concrete pads, 30 and 50 Amp available but no sewer hookups. Had to use the turd wagon but it was an easy pull. Already making plans to go back.

Nice State Park

Pretty typical state park camping. Camping loops with nice pull in sites. A variety of people camping in tents & RVs. Electric at most sites. One loop had vault toilets with potable water access. The main loop a restroom with showers, flush toilets, and potable water. There’s a seasonal…

Woodstock vibes

Nice campground, decent facilities, ice and wood for sale. Stage for events, we were in a primitive spot no hookups just stone fire pit and picnic table. Found a morel mushroom in our spot. Was delicious. Beautiful area!

Great for families

Our girls had a blast there! For first timers, this place is great! Quiet, relaxing, and a nice hatchery/hiking area!

Nice Open and on the Water

We spent several days camping at Bernice State Park.  Spacious, open sites and beautiful views of the lake.  They have a hiking trail, but it was closed while we were there as they were getting it ready for Halloween.  Didn't use the restrooms.  We enjoyed our stay and would go back.

Free water and electric

Pulling up, we were dubious at best. Boy, were we surprised. Other casinos we've stayed up were just a parking lot with service. Oh no. These was individual graveled pull thru sites done better than some paid campgrounds we've stayed at. Registering for a players card, we each got $10…

Great Weekend. March 18-21st 2021

We tent camped in Campground 3 at lot 168. We are more of the hiker, woodsy, adventure type people. If I would have known better I would have chosen Campground 1 for tent camping, as it seemed less groomed. Campground 1 was tucked up in an inlet that went back into the valley. It dead ends at a…

Nice camping close to home

Wonderful, great to have a nice camping area with hook ups right out of town for those quick trips and to assist with that “get away feeling”. Nice little lake to fish in and good disc golf course.

Great for Trout Fishing

Not my favorite of all parks but also not one to miss. Roaring river state park has a working trout fish hatchery. You can walk the holding tanks and feed the trout from baby to ready to be released into the river. There is also a cave you can walk in where you’ll find a pool of water that goes…

Just pretty close to perfect

‘‘This Campground has sections. The one group is the (Sentury) Indian, and the second loop is the Eagle Point Fox loop. We were at the Sentry loop. We liked site 71 in that loop. It offered the most space and was a full hook up. That is one of the best things about this campground. Several full…

Bring on the Deet!

Had an awesome hike, more incline/decline than I was expecting for the area! The caves were closed off due to walkway damage. Loved the lookout over the Missouri River! One less fun but not trip ruining detail, were the ticks. I went in August and they were pretty bad, tons on our legs and on my…

Pretty cool place

I grew up 30 miles from RR.. over the years I have camped or visited here it has grown and in some cases gotten a little crowded, but with good reason, it’s a beautiful and fun site with lots to do in and around the park area. From wishing to ORV to hiking to lake access it’s an all around fun…
