Quaint Missouri Farm

Small, quaint, quiet 8 site campground located on a hay farm. Late in the day booking, hosts were very responsive by text & e-mail. $30 overnight w/ full hookups. Great trails around pond, meadow/field & creek.

Wonderful place to stay!

This place is much more like private property (with the bonus of full hookups), than an “RV park”. Everything about this place is A+. Roomy, level, and clean lots. Organized & friendly owners. Great lot amenities (fire pits, picnic tables with umbrellas, well maintained hookups). Beautiful views in very direction (open fields, tree lines, greenery, pond, clear views of sky). Very well maintained & marked grass walking trails throughout the property. Easy to find. Not too far interstate. Easy to back in site. This place was perfect for us & our dogs & our large 36’ fifth wheel while we explored and traveled Route 66.

Quiet and relaxing

This place is really awesome! One of our favorite stops all year. Full hookups, level pad, clean, and quiet.

Jason met us within minutes of our arrival and was very welcoming. Check it was easy and straight forward. We bought ice for $3 and farm fresh eggs for $2.

You need reservations. It is a very small place. Owners live on site but are not intrusive.

Road going in is narrow and steep but any rig should make it.

Supplies close by in Rolla.

WiFi wasn't very good and cell was spotty even with the booster.

No showers or toilets on site so you need to be self-contained.

Great Little Campground

Found this great little Harvest Host to start our summer trip. Their website has the best and most detailed directions we’ve seen to date, so follow those versus your GPS. Haven Hollow is well off the interstate and is very quiet. The campground (CG) is back about 3 miles off some  very country roads, but we had no problem with our 39’ 5th wheel and F-450, just take it slow. The last 1.5 miles is gravel and it was a little dusty coming in if that is an issue for you, it wasn't for us. Once we got to this small CG with 8 back-in sites, we were delighted on how nice Haven Hollow was set up. All the sites are on one side of the one lane CG.  We went to the end of the CG area and made the loop to come back to easily back-in to our FHUs site 7. We picked up our welcome and payment package at the little office building in the middle of the CG. They also had ice and firewood for sale. The sites support about a 40’ rig with some able to support up to 42' max. When you make your reservation they will confirm the length of your rig and put you in the appropriate site as there’s a small berm behind the sites that allow you to back further in on some sites than others. We had to disconnect but there was convenient parking for our tow vehicle near the site. Utilities worked fine. There was suppossedly WiFi but we could not see it to sign in. We got 3 bars on Verizon and a couple of OTA channels. We would have had a clear shot to the southern sky for satellite but did not put our receiver out for this overnight stay. The picnic table and fire pit were across the little road from the site, which we thought was a good use of space. There’s a couple of other full timers, along with the owners, but CG was very clean and tidy. The CG sits on a huge meadow and they cut walking trails over 200+ acres with a little pond (no fish in it at this time). They also have a large chicken coop in the middle of the meadow and you are able to purchase a dozen eggs for $2. We were here in late May and had to use bug spray as the ticks were out in mass. We had a great stay and highly recommend this CG.
