Ok as a pit-stop

We arrived on a Friday evening. We had a pull through site and a cabin booked. The pull-through sites are SMALL! (Cabins were basic.) If you happen to have a neighbor, you share campfire and picnic table space. Luckily enough, this place doesn’t seem like it’s ever THAT busy. There wasn’t much for…

  • sites are close together. we got lucky and took over the neighboring site’s picnic area. (your looking at two pull through campsites, from driveway to driveway)
  • Small sign when coming from the west, almost drove by!
  • Office building

Very nice campground

Very nice level gravel sites, not too crowded. Site 12 was wooded.Clean campground. The sites were full hookup. Beautiful views of lake Michigan. There is a restaurant there, but unfortunately it wasn't open. We were looking forward to trying it out. The campground also has spots to dock your boat.…

Good stay an hour from Pictured Rocks Natl Lakeshore

Nice site with electricity for our 17' travel trailer on the edge of Indian Lake. Could have gone swimming right off our site if later in summer. Weather was cold at the campground but we had sunshine for a nice hike to the beach at Pictured Rocks Natl Lakeshore. Clean bathrooms with only 1 shower…

We love this campground!

We love Tourist Park, and will definitely be coming back! It’s on the back side of the city of Gwinn, which is a smaller more run down little town, 18 miles from Marquette. But this little campground is well kempt! Quiet and relaxing, tucked in the woods with a nice hiking trail, picnic tables,…

Beautiful spot to camp

We got one of the spots closer to the road but turned out great! These spots don't have quite the lake view but seem to feel more quiet and secluded. The lake views were gorgeous, amenities fine. We found this after leaving another spot closer to Marquette that felt uninviting despite all the…

Munising, MI

Super close to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore! This KOA is pretty nice. Has a dog run, facilities including showers/bathrooms/laundry, along with a general store! Decent lot sizes for tents and cabins, we were there in the fall so not as packed in, but would imagine it would be tight during peak…

Nice State Park and campgrounds

The reservation system is easy enough to use and facilities are sufficient. Plenty to do in the park and in the area. Friendly staff and campers. If any issues arise, the staff will be responsive to your needs. Rustic cabins are available. Check out the campground website at Michigan.gov

Very nice- good service

Very nice - we were in site 31. Plenty of space and we did not feel like we were too close to others. They had lots of hiking trails near and a bar and pizza place. Nice store, nice staff, pool/ hot tub, and right on the river. You are also able to take a nearby ski lift up the mountain for some…

Clean, friendly and safe place to spend the entire summer!

We parked our Fifthwheel all summer for the last 4 years. Came up every weekend and spent 4-5 weeks as well. Many friends were made and so much to see and do! The town welcomes all campers as family! Clean bath houses every morning and night. Groundskeeper are awesome and go out of their way to…

Beautiful area

This campground has 18 sites, lots of little walking paths, as well as hiking trails that lead you to other nearby lakes that don't have access for vehicles. Those other lakes also allow for hike in camping for a more remote setting, even though this campground is fairly remote itself. There is a…

Pull throughs for all

All the sites are pull through so your front door faces another front door. Roomy sites with designated fire pits. There is a playground with lots of things for the kids to do. There is a nature trail you can take your dogs on. Great location to get to most of everything you want to do in the UP.…

Relaxing & Peaceful

We had originally traveled out to this lake only to take out our paddle boards out but ended up liking it a ton! The campground is very unique because most of it is elevated above the lake. A few sites include stairs that come down for lake access. There is also a public access site for boats and…
