Little Garlic River Dispersed — Gwinn State Forest

Description

Along the Little Garlic River in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, the Gwinn State Forest dispersed area offers a couple of primitive spots just before a small bridge on a narrow dirt road off Old County Road 550. A fire ring is on-site, and the river corridor adds a natural backdrop to an otherwise remote and unhurried setting. The access road is tight with few turnaround points — suitable for vans and smaller rigs, but not for large trailers or motorhomes.
