Cute Campground

We camped here because of the easy access to the lake! Very friendly staff and the campground was easy to get around, especially on the golf cart. It was a little tight and traffic can get backed up within the campground when more than a few people are trying to park, but other than that it was…

Relaxing 😊

when we arrived my fiancé & I didn’t realize the time change. So unfortunately we woke them up. But thank goodness they they didn’t hold it against us. Lol! On our first day we left somethings out & Pete was so nice to put them in our tent for us, because we didn’t realize it was going to…

Spacious, Peaceful Campgrounds

I am currently here and I gotta say I am impressed. The bathrooms are clean, I am not close to my neighboring campers, the parking spots are huge, and it's a great area to walk around.

Perfect Tent Camp Experience

The tent camp sites on the island were aptly distanced from one another. The other campers seemed to have an unspoken sense of support. Multiple people offered ice, and even campground host offered to air up air mattresses.

There was plenty of driftwood on site to burn, but if you're going to…

Best for Mammoth Cave

The campground is cute and less than 15 mins to the Mammoth Cave National Park visitor Center. Nothing fancy, older bathhouse, small pond and large field for kids to explore. Some spots are snug. Owner is great and very helpful!

Peaceful stay on the water

Very nice campground on Cordell Hull Lake. Kayaking, boating, fishing and swimming are possible. Waterside camping available. Cell service is spotty and minimal WiFi is available to check in with family or check the weather. Very peaceful. Had a nice, stress free 3 day weekend.

Heed the warnings about the southern entrance

We didn't and ended up driving an extra hour to get to the campground.

Our only complaint is the site was not level. When we were able to get the camper level the tongue was 40" high. We had to borrow 6 8X8 blocks from the Rangers in order to stabilize the front

Other than that, we enjoyed the…

Clean

Bathrooms were clean and convenient. Sites were a bit dirty from previous campers, and there wasn’t much room to park a car- the host told us to just park in another camp site because you could t park at your site without blocking the road.

Love the views

Baileys Point Campground didn’t disappoint! The sites are spacious with paved or gravel sites available, picnic tables, fire rings and clean restrooms. There are lake view sites and lake front sites. There are inlets where you can tie off your boats. The cell signals are good, we have Verizon! …

Needs some love

The camp ground itself isn't bad. I don't think it's quite up to the usual KOA standards. Bathrooms were centrally located which was fine unless you're tent camping on the outer edge. The shower curtains were moldy and the bathrooms seemed a little run down, but everything functioned well.

Great place

We spent a few days at Wax while heading home. It was quiet, even with all the boat traffic and kids. Lots are gravel and decent size. The area surrounds Lake Nolan, which is an added bonus. The water was warm and calm. It is off the beaten path and you are about 30 min from a grocery store, so…

Great place to camp, go swimming and kayaking.

This is a great campground. We love it here. We’ve been here three times now and will keep coming back. The staff is friendly and engaging.

Beautiful on the water

Don’t expect anyone to greet you at the ranger station. It is unmanned. Sites have your parking pass clipped to the post. Gravel, mostly flat, pads with lots of shade trees. Very quiet. Sits on Lake Nolan, which is huge. Loved paddle boarding in the early morning before the boat traffic got going.…
