Grassy, well-kept grounds and a staff that guides rigs directly to their sites set the tone at Black Bear RV Park, a privately run campground operating from Memorial Day through Labor Day outside McCall, Idaho. Sites accommodate RVs up to 50 feet with electric and water hookups, and a central dump station serves the park. Campfires are permitted, and the forested, lake-adjacent setting gives the property a wooded feel without sacrificing convenience.
Cleanliness comes up repeatedly across reviews, and the facilities back that up. Showers, laundry, and restrooms all draw consistent praise. "Park is clean and hosts are excellent," notes Mk A. A food truck on the property adds a practical option for meals without leaving camp. WiFi is available but capped in speed, so campers relying on it for remote work should plan accordingly. Cell service is described as decent for the area, which can be a meaningful detail this far into the mountains.
The park is well-suited to RV travelers who want hookups, reliable facilities, and an attentive staff in a forested setting near the water. Nearby alternatives worth considering include Golden RV Park and McCall RV Resort - Northfolk Lodge, both within roughly a mile. Access carries a rough road warning, so drivers of longer rigs should factor that in when planning arrival.
