Horse Camp Trailhead
Horse Camp Trailhead is located near Potlatch in the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests. The terrain consists of forested areas with trails suitable for hiking and horseback riding. Temperatures range from lows in the 30s Fahrenheit in winter to highs in the 80s during summer, and nearby attractions include the scenic Palouse Falls and the historic town of Moscow.

The Horse Camp Trailhead serves as the north end of the popular Sand Mountain OHV Trail system. The actual trail begins on the north side of the 381 road while the trailhead is on the southern side. Some dispersed camping is available on a first come first serve basis.
